Sleepwalking

Sleepwalkers do many things not normally associated with sleep. They sit up in bed, walk about, even make frantic attempts to escape. These actions seem to start during slow wave sleep. Sleepwalkers often return to bed and go back to sleep. It is generally extremely confusing to the sleepwalker to be awakened.

This disorder is a type of arousal disorder, which is in the group of parasomnias.
