Terrifying Hypnagogic Hallucinations Normally, when an individual falls asleep, the individual has vague thoughts and images in their mind just as sleep is starting.Rarely, these common, unthreatening hypnagogic images become threatening. They can seem very real because they occur quickly after starting to fall asleep. These hallucinations are common in people with narcolepsy. People with narcolepsy regularly go into REM sleep right after falling asleep. This disorder is a sleep problem that has not been thoroughly researched, so it is considered a Proposed Sleep Disorder. | |
